Follow up to the sneak peak

Here is the finished quilt top to the square I showed earlier.

Here is the pieced back.
The middle square is 24x24...that's a fun size!

This is what it looks like folded...love how thick it is.
The benefit of extra loft batting!

Now, I just need to figure out how I want to quilt it.

Sneak Peak

This is what half the squares for the next quilt look like.
And my first attempt at log cabin squares, which aren't bad.
Looks like this one might be pretty quick.
Can't wait to get the other blocks done so you can see the fabric that inspired this quilt!
Keep watching for more!

Hummingbird quilt

This gorgeous little quilt came to me from Tennessee for me to finish hand-quilting.  It was already sandwiched, basted, and some of the middle squares done.  I think I invested around 30 hours on it.  It was such a privilege for me to work on because I otherwise would never have had a chance to participate in a quilt like this.  I have never done anything with pieces this small.  Each of the bursts around the framed Hummingbird squares are individual wedges of various sizes.  It is gorgeous, but I never would have had the patience to piece it.  Love love love this quilt.  I put it in the mail last night to head back home to Tenn.  Thank you Lisa for trusting me with your artwork!  My hands may have hated me for awhile, God bless arthritis, but it was oh, so worth the pain to participate in this one!!!
