This is a picture of my fabric stash at the beginning of this week.
And I have to say, I was proud of it...because it has gotten really hard to keep fabric in the house.
I sew it into bags of some kind very quickly after purchasing...and normally my pile is even smaller than that.
However...
On instagram, a week or so ago, I noticed that one of the quilters that I follow was cutting down on her personal stash. A well-known quilter that is even published.
If you haven't checked out Amy Ellis of Amy's Creative side yet, you really should. Amazing work!
Her first picture of a grouping made my jaw drop.
Fabrics I had never even seen before.
Colors and prints that I was drooling over the prospect of making into bags.
So, I claimed the first one.
and then the next one.
and the next one.
By the end, she just messaged me and asked if I would be interested in a picture of plain colors as well.
And she totaled me up...25 pounds of fabric pieces coming my way.
and she wasn't kidding...that box was heavy!

These are her scraps...and stash she isn't using...so now can you imagine the beautiful things she has created?

And on Monday, I received this gift from a textile publisher...P&B Textiles.
I had left a comment about what amazing bags these prints would make,
and the next thing I know, I was emailed for my address!
I'm not sure these are even available yet.

I cannot wait to start making things out of this!
We also did a craft show on Saturday...in the snow...in Jefferson City.
This was the same show that we did for our first and second craft shows in '10 and '11.
The 36th annual Sterling Chapter of the ABWA craft show and chili lunch.
We got to visit with some of our favorite vendors!
This pic only represents half of our booth, and we were in the center...so we had lots of people cutting through to get to the other sides.
Fun times!
And now, I cannot wait to just sew and sew and sew.
Hopefully I will remember to update the blog more often...but things have been super busy around here...so I don't always remember.
